My friend Nathan Carson did a residency at the Art Gallery of Hamilton last year. The theme of his residency was Black Carnival. Near the end of his term he curated a show entitled FUNHOUSE. He has artists from the Hamilton area submit art for the show. This year at Super crawl he revisited the Funhouse idea with a small scale installation CALLED FUNHOUSE 2. He asked me to be a part of it.

Newest painting done just in time for last weekend’s TOAF.

Available through Art Gallery of Hamilton

July 8-21 2022 I had the pleasure of showing my body of work entitled Joy?! at the Paul Elia Gallery in Hamilton.

Using realistic imagery infused with absurdity, this series conveys a humorous look at life through the ailment of the psyche, demonstrating the connection between mental illness and the smiling face presented to the world. Joy?! is the parody of an outwardly happy appearance and the fragility of the self underneath.
I don’t manage my blog very well. I’m a little scattered between working, painting and other commitments. Here’s some recent work and some upcoming shows!!

I painted this live at the Masquerade fundraiser 2023 in Hamilton. It was auctioned live at the end of the night. Proceeds went to CMHA Hamilton.

This one was painted as a commission for the talented Erin Wheatley.

I created this painting for the Masquerade Charity Gala. It will be auctioned at the dinner with proceeds going to CMHA Hamilton.

This painting was selected to be included in the show “JOY” at Summer & Grace gallery in Oakville. It’s still available there until the new year.

I was commissioned to do this painting by my friend Raf for his friend Sara. She lost her brother and now she has a Blue Jay hanging around her house who’s always calling to her to for attention. Perhaps it’s more than just coincidence?
